Alison was truly an unexpected blessing for our family. We had trouble with our son since the day he was brought home due to reflux. He had never spent a night (or day) sleeping without one of us holding him up until he was about 4 months old. Once he was free of reflux at around 6 months we knew we needed help. The usual night consisted of us fighting to get him asleep, and trying to work some magic so he didn’t notice is putting him down. The usual stretch of sleep was about 3 hours, and needing a bottle and rocking before sleeping again.
We couldn’t do it anymore. To say I was an anxious mom is a massive understatement. Alison took the time to talk to us and help me understand the importance of sleep for him and for us. She did not sugarcoat anything and let us know it would be hard but absolutely rewarding. Throughout the two weeks, she responded to all of our questions and helped reassure us we were doing the right thing.
